The Earth is a LaboratoryWe are proud to offer middle and high school students a chance to learn about climate justice. Through a combination of classroom instruction, field trips, and experiential learning activities, students develop an understanding of how they can become agents of positive change in the world. Our programs are aligned with rigorous academic standards, center on equity and cultural inclusion, and encourages student engagement through meaningful dialogue and practical skills development.
Students have the opportunity to explore scientific topics such as biology, climatology, oceanography and monitor climate change in their own community. They also gain knowledge about environmental policies, justice initiatives in their communities, indigenous perspectives on climate change, sustainability practices across cultures and other global issues related to climate justice. Through hands-on projects such as creating energy efficient devices or constructing structures from recycled materials, students are encouraged to think outside of the box while developing important research and engineering skills. |
